Privacy & security

Built to respect your privacy

Browser extensions ask for trust. Here’s exactly how TubeOrganizer handles your data — in plain language.

Data stays local

Your groups, tags and settings live in your own browser storage — not on our servers by default.

No tracking

We don’t collect your watch history and we don’t build a profile of you.

No account needed

Install and use everything without signing up or handing over an email address.

What permissions we ask for — and why

The extension requests only what it needs to work. Nothing more.

Access on youtube.com

Needed so the extension can add groups, Deck Mode and filters directly on YouTube. It doesn’t run on any other site.

Local storage

Used to save your groups, tags and preferences on your device so they persist between sessions.

Optional sync

Only if you turn it on — used to back up and sync your setup across your own browsers.

Where your data lives

Where is my data stored?

By default, entirely in your browser’s local storage on your own device.

Does my data leave the browser?

Only if you enable optional sync — then your settings are backed up so they can travel between your own browsers. With sync off, nothing leaves your device.

How does sync work?

Sync stores a copy of your groups and settings so you can restore them on another device. You control whether it’s on.

How do I delete my data?

Clear it from the extension settings at any time, or remove the extension to wipe local data. If sync is on, you can delete the synced copy too.

[Confirm each statement matches the shipped implementation before publishing.]
